Mea Maxima Culpa Silence in The House of God

Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney exposes the abuse of power in the Catholic Church in his film Mea Maxima Culpa Silence in the House of God. He shows the cover-up that winds its way from the row houses of Milwaukee Wisconsin, through the bare ruined choirs of Ireland’s churches all the way to the highest office of the Vatican. By investigating the secret crimes of a charismatic priest who abused over 200 deaf children in a school under his control, the film shows the face of evil that lurks behind the smiles and denials of authority figures and institutions who believe that because they stand for good they can do no wrong.

The Catholic Church of today is oppressive, dishonest and misrepresents itself. It destroys millions of lives around the world and has done unspeakable evil throughout its history. The excesses stem not just a few bad apples. The root cause is institutional corruption. In Catholicism, according to Canon Law, everything flows downward from the very top. This means the Vatican ultimately bears responsibility for crimes against humanity.

Catholic policies towards women are degrading. Catholic commandments on birth control create imminent poverty for millions who starve and die in developing countries. Catholic beliefs toward basic human rights are often cowardly and self-serving. Catholic teachings on sex are Neanderthal. Catholic practices on economic and social issues are reprehensible. And Catholic teachings on so-called “morality” are duplicitous.

The Vatican has been a facilitator of vast numbers of crimes and cover ups since the fall of the Byzantines. The Catholic Church’s policies and practices in the tens of thousands (perhaps hundreds of thousands) of sexual abuse scandals around the world involving priests prove that it has no intention of supporting the victims. The Catholic Church is an empire of corruption involved in indescribable evils committed by members of the clergy.

Mea Maxima Cula: Silence in the House of God is a story about politics and power. It’s also a story about extraordinary courage – the courage of those who initially stepped forward and told of what happened. It is a masterful documentary that becomes increasingly more intense as the viewer gets absorbed into the story.

The documentary focuses on several deaf adults who are now in their 60s and 70s. Back during he 1950’s as children, they were sexually abused by priests in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, as we would gradually learn there were many more Milwaukees – hundreds, if not thousands of Milwaukees around the world.

While the Vatican continues to lie, engages in cover ups, and postures itself as being above all the crimes committed at the parish level, this film indisputably links Rome with just about all the filth done by its faithful servants. Church hierarchy was far more than just an enabler. They have been confederates in these conspiracies for the past 1,700 years (watch the documentary – the evidence is clear).

Look at what they’ve been involved in: The Inquisition, the war on enlightenment, and the Crusades. Also, pacts with fascism, sex crimes and cover ups. Why isn’t the Catholic Church being tried for crimes against humanity?

Thank goodness that there are real heroes in this world – heros who deserve the title of hero. Some of them appear in this film as the brave men who were courageous enough to step forward and speak about what happened. It must have been beyond humiliating for them to share these details. The continuing conspiracy of denial from the Vatican is deplorable.

Thank goodness these men brave were willing to step out of the shadows. Thank goodness that there was one very dedicated filmmaker willing to shine a lens and a light into the darkest corners of the church’s soul.

The God of the Old Testament

These verses from the Old Testament tend to suggest that the LORD of the Old testament is not the Father whom Jesus referred to, but rather is Lucifer/Satan:

The Tower of Babel
“1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. 3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” 5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” 8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel —because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.” Genesis 11:1-9

The Father That Jesus Referred To

The previous verses show that Lucifer/Satan loves to confuse and create chaos. However, the next verses show how our true Father teaches us.

“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” 1 Corinthians 14:33

“But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.” 1 Corinthians 14:40

The Judaic Agenda

“Your churches will be used to teach the Jews’ religion and in less than 200 years the whole nation will be working for Divine Wolrd Government. The Government that they believe to be Divine will be the British Empire.
All religions will be permeated with Judaism without even being noticed by the masses. And they will all be uner the invisible all-seeing eye of the Grand Architect of Freemasonry.”
General Charles Cornwallis 1738 – 1805
